What Is A Banner Ad?
The last time you surfed a Web site, chances are pretty good you saw rectangular advertisements appear at the top, bottom, and/or side. No matter what the location, messaging, or style was, clicking on that ad did the same thing: your browser took you to the advertiser's Web page. Welcome to the Banner Ad. A banner ad is essentially a graphical text-link. Take a (usually) rectangular graphic, give it a simple HTML link, and voila, your banner ad is born.
